A Teacher With Passion

By: Syed Mohsin

No man can be a good teacher unless he has feelings of warm affection toward his pupils and a genuine desire to impart education to them what he himself believes to be of value.

Every body here tries to earn glories for themselves but there are only few people who are quite different from these. They live and probably scarify their interests and time for others.

Shahid Mqbool Ahmed Shaikh is one of those educationists, who laid his life to education. Thereby making every possible effort to ensure that education is accessible to every child. By profession he is a teacher and runs a coaching centre. He is very supportive to those students who do not afford the mounting expenses of other coaching centers. He demands less cost and offers more services.

Many of his students got admissions in various universities of the country and also a number of students got ICT scholarship in last three years.

Shahid Shaikh was born on May 1, 1972 in Hyderabad. He got his Masters in Mathematics and Economics from University of Sindh.

His family faced many financial problems and being an elder son it was his responsibilities to become helping hand of his family and he preferred teaching to manage his family expenses.

Shahid teaches for 14 hours daily and he also offers his extra time during examinations without extra charges.

He finds space for his family even in such conditions where he passes most of his time with students.

He believes that one who does not bear the difficulties of education he or she faces difficulties for rest of the life.

Though he has very polite nature, but at times he also becomes rash to those who breaks discipline.

One of his colleagues recalls an incident that a boy misbehaved a teacher, when Shahid heard about that he scolded him and took him out of the centre. That incident was very surprising for every one because that sort of attitude was never seen before.

It is his hard work that is paying off as numbers of his students are studying in well known institutes of the country, who got birth in lower class family.
